Back to Historic Images

These photos are courtesy of the Washington State University Museum of Anthropology. They were taken in the 1960s and the 1970s by archaeologists working in the lower Snake River Canyon prior to the construction of the dams.  These color slide photographs give the viewer a profound and wonderful look at the lower Snake canyon as an intact and functional landscape.
