Lower Snake River 1972-1974

This piece of utterly retro film was provided by John Pirkalla of Spokane, Washington.  It is a fairly rare piece of Americana that shows just what steelhead fishing on a free flowing Snake River was like in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Again it points to the future in terms of the abundance that a working Snake River could deliver to generations of Washington residents if we were to follow the science in recovering salmon and steelhead.
