WSU Historic Maps
The following maps are featured courtesy of Manuscripts, Archives and Special Collections, Washington State University libraries (link to the URL below). The United States Geological Survey produced these maps in the early 20th century. We are currently missing the maps for the section of the lower Snake River that includes Lewiston Idaho and Clarkston Washington. We are also missing a lower river section immediately downriver of Almota, WA.
The gallery includes low-resolution images of the USGS quadrangles, and many details that highlight the lower Snake River prior to the development of hydroelectric dams.
